Instructions
Prepare the Wall
Remove old siding if necessary. Inspect and repair any damaged sheathing. Install house wrap or felt paper for moisture protection.
Install Starter Strip
Nail a starter strip along the bottom of the wall, keeping it level. This supports the first panel.
Install J-Channel
Install J-channel around all windows, doors, and corners to create clean termination points for siding panels.
Cut First Panel
Measure and cut the first siding panel to length. Lock it into the starter strip and nail through the nailing hem, leaving 1/32 inch gap for expansion.
Continue Panels Upward
Snap each successive panel into the one below, overlapping seams by at least 1 inch. Stagger vertical seams between rows.
Work Around Openings
Use J-channel and utility trim to finish around windows and doors. Cut panels with a utility knife or tin snips for precise fits.
Install Corner Posts & Trim
Cap all outside and inside corners with corner posts. Install soffit and fascia trim to complete the exterior.
