Instructions
Safety First
WARNING: Torsion springs are under extreme tension and can cause serious injury. If a spring is broken, consider calling a professional. Disconnect the opener before any manual work.
Lubricate Moving Parts
Apply garage door lubricant (not WD-40) to hinges, rollers, tracks, and springs every 6 months. This prevents most common issues.
Replace Worn Rollers
Rollers with worn bearings or cracked wheels should be replaced. Use locking pliers to hold the track, remove the hinge bolt, and swap the roller.
Adjust the Track Alignment
Loose tracks cause binding. Loosen the mounting bolts slightly and tap the track with a rubber mallet until the gap to the door is consistent. Retighten.
Adjust Cable Tension
Frayed or loose cables are dangerous. Minor adjustments can be made at the cable drum at the top of the door. If cables are broken, call a professional.
Adjust the Opener
Set the travel limits and force settings on the opener unit. The door should fully open, fully close, and reverse when it hits an object on the floor.
