Instructions

1

Turn Off Power

Unplug the disposal or turn off the circuit breaker. Never work with power on. Verify with a voltage tester at the outlet under the sink.

2

Disconnect Plumbing

Disconnect the drain line and dishwasher drain hose (if connected). Place a bucket to catch water.

3

Remove Old Disposal

Insert a disposal wrench or flathead screwdriver into the mount ring and turn counterclockwise to unlock the unit from the mounting assembly. Lower the unit.

4

Remove Old Mount (If Needed)

If installing a different brand, remove the old mounting assembly by loosening the snap ring and removing the sink flange and putty from above.

5

Install New Mounting Assembly

Apply plumber's putty around the drain flange, insert from above, and secure with the mounting ring and snap ring from below. Tighten evenly.

6

Wire the New Disposal

Connect the power cord wires inside the disposal's electrical cover: black to black, white to white, green to ground. Or hardwire matching the existing circuit.

7

Mount and Connect

Lift the disposal and lock it into the mounting assembly by turning clockwise. Reconnect the drain line. Restore power and test with running water.
